Kaew Fairtex vs. Jomthong Chuwattana

February 2, 2010 by nopstar

Props to our good friend Mark Mian of the Altercenter for passing this one along.  When are we going to see some more articles from you buddy? According to the info on the clip, this fight took place back in June… I don’t recall hearing anything about this.  I typically can’t stand edited fights, but I don’t feel like this fight has lost any of it’s essence.  I’m not sure if this clip is sped up a little, but are these guys really this fast?  For those of you new to MuayThai, Kaew (black trunks) and Jomthong are both marquee fighters for the Fairtex and Chuwattana camps.  Both are multiple Lumpini and Rajadomnern belt holders, and all around bad asses.

The teep at the end of round 3 is ridiculous…  Many thanks to Aromashoota for posting and sharing this vid.

Hi nop. Looks like there is an error with the page. The video part looks extended and not able to play the video either. I am using vista os with IE browser. I’ll try with mozilla and confirm.

Good fight. Best video of an edited fight I’ve ever seen.

Kaew is in the black trunks, if I’m not mistaken.

As much as i couldn’t call it a robbery it certainly looked like Kaew was getting the better of the exchanges.

Great fight and yes, that teep was utterly Ridonkulous!

gah! i have to wait 7.5 hours to get home and watch this.

The video didn’t feel sped up to me, so I think the pace was just that ridiculous. I agree that I wouldn’t call it robbery, but I felt like Kaew had the fight too. I’d love to see a rematch. And yes – not bad at all for an edited fight.

    wow, thanks! what a war.

sometimes videos can seem sped up or otherwise weird due to fps issues while re-encoding.

Damn, now that was a fight! They cut each other good with those elbows! The editing does make it look to be in Kaew’s favor though, but I would have to see the whole fight to judge precisely.

Mighty good watch for an edited fight. Thanks… What was up with that judging? Especially the one that scored all 5 rounds draws….

what a sick (edited) fight. it looks like kaew kinda ran outta steam towards the end of the 4th. rd 3 teep was intense.

    agreed. epic teep.

fuck the teeps though, how about them elbows? throwin ‘bows all accurate like.

I agree with hoyboy, retarded scoring. Albeit I havent seen the whole fight but we’ve got 48-49 50-50 49-50.

so first judge says 10-10-10-9-9kaew 10-10-10-10-9 jom

2nd judge says its 10-10 for five rounds

3rd says jom only wins one round and draws the rest.

In line with keeping up the standards I really worry about the japs scoring muaythai let alone K-1 max (lets not go there). Can they not pick a winner for one of the majority of the rounds. Theres easy ways to define a winner with the bias of strikes in muaythai.

Goodwork to jomthong though looks like he hasnt had huge success lately against international opponents.
