K-1 Amsterdam GP

June 22, 2007 by nopstar

My apologies for being remiss in my duties… It’s been sort of a crazy week. I completely spaced that the K-1 GP Amsterdam tournament takes place tomorrow. To be honest I don’t really care who wins… I’m thinking Magomedov.

Here’s the bracket… The two superfights should be interesting.

The first fight is Peter Aerts and Bob Sapp. I’m calling Aerts with a 2nd round KO. That is if he can get through the first round…

Then you’ve got Schilt and Mighty Mo. I’ve got mixed feelings on this one. I would love it if Mighty Mo would catch him with his savage right over hand. I think the Golden Glory guys have probably prepared him for it. What I think is really going to happen is Semmy is gonna catch mo with high knee to the grill.

I’m not going to be around much this weekend, so I’ll be sure to post results on Monday.  I hope you guys have an outstanding weekend.

Sapp is gonna win. That guy is T-U-F-F! He’s a modern Mr. T!

Sapp is not tough, he’s just huge.

I hope Sapp gets retired by Aerts. The only thing about him is his size…

    - aerts beat sap within 20 secs with a swift knee to the liver.
    - semmy beat mo on points, mo didnt have a plan b, and his overhand right wasnt going to work, so he was waiting for the opportunity from start till the end that didnt arrive

    Sapp wasnt the news…
Look at how fast Manhoff dispatched Karaev.
I mean…Karaev seems to have developed a glass jaw but that was insane.
Also Hiromi Amada….time to go back to boxing.
    Paul just destroyed his legs.
He has consistantly had serious leg trouble or losses to low kicks.
Despite having lost has last 2 K-1 fights to low kicks and barely getting by against a nobody in Titans 4 due to low kicks, he still has developed no kick defense and has done nothing for his legs to deal with the punishment.

It was a good event I thought….Hopefully 2 huge Ihara Dojo losses like this will make some people wake up and try and change the way things work at the gym.
