John Wayne Parr vs. Jason Scherri
September 21, 2009 by nopstar

Here was the first fight of the evening. According to the announcers Scherri had a close fight with Malaipetch in Vegas, did any of you go? Any rate they made mention about Parr training with Ramon Deckers in Australia, about how the Dutch style or (maybe Deckers) style is to not check the kicks but to answer immediately with some hands. I could see someone with years of thigh conditioning put that into effect, but I don’t know how effective it in a tournament. If you can’t knock your man out quickly, I doubt you’ll want to sustain a great deal of leg damage…
anyway… once again, big thanks to meyer1244 for taking the time to upload and share this fight with us.

Nop – the new video is great. The picture (at least on these videos) is crystal clear.
Good for scherri..he stayed in it all the way
best lol performance of the year
Malaipet’s fight with Jason Scherri was at the Hollywood Park Casino on June 13th

Dennis’ fight cards in Vegas was on:

Malaipet fought on both of these in less than a month’s time before leaving for CA2.
Malaipet beat Jason Sherri by TKO in Rd3 by a cut. It was the opinion of some that Jason was robbed out of a chance to come on strong in the last 2 rounds. The cut had some blood flowing but would go away after one wipe. It was not getting into his eyes however. For the 3 rounds, Malaipet kept Jason at bay and took them all by points by my observation. It may have seemed like he may have been getting gassed at the end, but he may have also gotten a second wind. It ended somewhat abrupt but I didn’t see any protest from Scherri’s side.
The commentators weren’t entirely accurate, it wasn’t a points loss for Scerri. They stopped the fight due to a cut, but honestly, the cut wasn’t bad at all. Jason was doing well, but I really think Malaipet was in control of the fight
hey bryan, i think you mixed something up : )
damn, what did mix up? I’m about ready to fall asleep…….
ah you didin’t, my fault : P
That’s a great example of dominating a fight.
Big heart from both sides.
JWP’s left body kick counter is right on point. Great performance, JWP never lets the audience down, he is always a spectacle to watch.
