Interview with Sanchai on Fukduk
July 29, 2009 by nopstar

I want to start of by saying many thanks to Thai production team who put this together. I recommend everyone visit fukduk.tv and watch the original interview in Thai (if you can) I want to give them full credit as I’m psyched to see Thai media taking interest in our heroes. For whatever reason vimeo doesn’t offer subtitling and youtube is rejected it about a 7 times…, so if you cant watch it here, you can Download the video with subtitles here.
for those of you who can understand Thai:
I’m grown accustomed to seeing low production value interviews of of Nak Muay’s… hats off to the team at fukduk for putting this project together. I enjoyed the interview and I wanted to translate it for you guys.
This is the first time I’ve attempted to add subtitles to something and it’s kind of shit. I didn’t realize how much of a pain in the ass it is to do subtitles properly. I started to subtitle the whole vid and realized it was going to take me a couple of hours. I’ve decide to compromise… The interviewer has done a great job giving a lot of back-story and history of Sanchai, but it’s just too long and fairly difficult to translate. So I’ve decided just to translate his interview with Sanchai.
They’ve done an interview with Buakaw, and hopefully I’ll get better at using this subtitling software. I’ll try to do a better job with that one.
In the interview Sanchai say’s he got his inspiration for his cartwheel kick from Tekraw, for those of you who’ve never seen it, check out this vid.

thank you very much for the subtitles
maybe you could briefly sum the rest they talked about up, if it is not a too big scope of effort.
i would appreciate it
This is the first interview I’ve seen where the interviewer actually goes in the ring and spars with the fighter! Uhh… what was the interview about?
Download the clip it’s subtitled… Yeah, not sure who the interviewer is but he’s got skills…
Damn, I love his tricky legs. and that push kick he has damn
WOW TEKRAW IS THE SHIT. and so is sanchai of course. he looks huge for a small guy.
i read on muaythai focus that he quits muay thai at the end of the year and joins a soccer team, i quote rob cox:
“big news in Muaysiam today, Saenchai has said that he will most likely hang up his gloves in december. He said that he has had enough of the constant struggles to drop big weight before fights and wants to go off in a new direction and is going to become a pro football player. He is going to fight in England in November and then wants his last fight to be on the Lumpini birthday show.”
He put that on Ax aswell.Theres no way im missing him in the UK show never seen him fight in the flesh, this might be my last chance!!Gutted hes retiring dont suppose theirs much left for him to do in the sport, good hes finishing at top of his game.
Great interview, that man had great skills obviously done some training before. It’s refreshing to see a nak muay get treated with great respect like that. I thought that was extinct in thailand.
A week ago I met him..trained in his ring while he was running. Got pics and some video of him training. The man is very nice..and a master to watch on the pads.
