I need an excuse
July 30, 2007 by nopstar
Look at what I found. I’ve been starved for Muay Thai action here in states. I can’t tell you how happy I was to hear about this. I spoke to one of the fighters on this card, and he said that he still hasn’t seen the contract yet. So as always take this with a grain of salt. Anyway my elation turned to horror when I realized I have to go to a wedding that day.

It’s not even like it’s one of my close buddies or anything. Bit of a moral dilemma… So the adult thing to do is suck it up and go to the wedding right? I think I rsvp’d to this thing a couple of months back.

It’s wrong but I’m really trying to find a way out of it? Anyway… I need to think on it. So for you lucky bastards who don’t have any commitments… you don’t have any excuses. This is a pretty sick line up. From what I’ve heard, it’s also going to be available via PPV and will be aired in Thai TV.

Well, to be perfectly honest, I would say that business opportunities like this do not come up often and you need to get your business in order… The fights are just a bonus that need not be mentioned. If it was a good friend, that is one thing, but you have plenty of time to let them know that unfortunately you cannot make it. How are we getting there?
O shit Ra Karma and Team USA?? He actually took the fight?? dude that guy has been hiding from RA Karma.
No Suli, Mike hasn’t been ducking Ra.. that’s for sure. I’m just glad it may actually happen.
I’m already looking into flights and hotels down there.
seriously, people cancelled on our wedding like 3 days before the event! if you give them enough forewarning (plus a nice wedding gift $$$) it’ll be no big deal, just as long as there is enough time for the host to fill the seats that you would have taken.
ra has to be one of the funniest guys i ever met, and a great instructor. is he still teaching at cheetahs? are alex & francisco still teaching there too?
Motherfuck!!! I’m going to be inKauai that day. This is probably the only time I’d wish I was NOT in Hawaii, as this is a pretty sick event. And my parents only live about an hour north of the arena. Shoud I ask them if a bunch of random muay thai fans can crash on their couches? ;)
Nice meeting Nopstar and Dii Mak at the WCCSC on Saturday. That event was pretty nice as well, after the 2 hour delay that is. Nopstar, I agree with Dii Mak. If you’re just honest and give them plenty of notice, it shouldn’t be a problem.
I went to the smoker fights in Van Nuys last Saturday and dennis warner announce the event, he said that malaipet will also be fighting
DAMN This sounds like the MT event of the year in Cali..
ernesto come on he has a little..
Yes, I’ve known about this event for a while now.
This is going to be the first WBC sponsored (thus, they’re bringing such great fighters)
This is going to be in Normandy Casino.
Malaipet was also supposed to fight in this even, but I don’t see him on the flyer :0
Awesome! A good event in my neck of the woods. Gotta check it out. There’s some great fighters on this card for sure.
Anyone know where to get tickets? Or is it pay at the door? I live an hour or two north of Gardena.
