Guinea 8 Man – 1st Bracket
December 30, 2008 by nopstar
I still haven’t had a chance to check out the rest of these fights. I suspect I’ll get to them this weekend. Saw Yodsanklai and Varaksa… I totally agree with fightgeek, who thought it would be a good idea to put those two in the ring? As usual many props to stackmo for sharing. Oh and Jono if you’re reading this… send me another email… your email bounced.
Farid Villuame vs. Mbada
Varaksa is a tough kid though… So here are the rest of the matches from the 1st bracket
Farid Villuame vs. Lamsongkram Chuwattana
we don’t seem to have the Ali Gunyar fight with Lamsongkram, so we’re going to skip ahead and show you the semi-final match between Farid and Chai.

those ropes in the farid vs lamsongkram fight are soggier than my grandma’s boobs. kram almost fell out the ring when he leaned on them before round two and farid actually fell out when he leaned out of kram’s head kick. why was that fight stopped?
GrChChinaman, LMAO.
Is Villuame vs. Mbada video recorded with fast forward option? That was fast.
Watching Mbada’s performance is like Badr’s attitude. Painful to watch. No bad-mouthing, but Varaksa looks like a true champion comparing to Mbada.
what happened to Mbada? Lams got such technique..wow. it is interesting to see how a fighter responds to other styles. I saw farid against Yods, Mbada and now Lams. Nice coparisons
Let’s not forget that Mbada did enter the competition at 58kg while the weight class for the competition was 62 kg….it’s evident that Villaume was much bigger than him. Also..the commentator mentioned that Villaume is in fact one of Mbada’s long time hero ..so I think intimidation also played a role in his performance. Oh and Varaksa hardly looked like a champion at all….In my opinion, Yod made him look just as bad as Mbada vs Villaume.
Yod is a FREAKIN’ BEAST!
Oh the commentator also mentioned that Villaume suffered a broken rib in the 2nd round of his first fight vs Lamsongkran (in Jamaica)….No wonder he gave us such a shitty performance. Villaume is 33 now…maybe it’s about time to start looking towards retirement..I don’t think he has anythin else to prove.
spydaman, you seem to be the only one consistently thinking about what you say and calling things correctly. The amount of detail and thought you put in your comments just denotes it time and again. Consider yourself a cut above the typically badly biased and frankly stupid fan commentary one has to endure on many ‘fight’ sites.
lol….Greatly appreciated Stack!! I feel the same about u and a few other posters on here.
I do agree about the “typically badly biased and frankly stupid fan commentary one has to endure on many ‘fight’ sites.”….dat’s the reason why I’m so glad to belong in the MMT circle.
Last but not least…without giving out any spoilers…I was watching the finals last week and somethin seemed really off…I wonder if anyone shares the same feeling…..I dunno….It kinda reminded me of Yod vs Nareupol in the Contender Asia. humph!!
Hey spydaman, those weights can’t be right. There’s no way Chai, or Yod could make 62kg. Yod typically fights 70+
Yes Frank, I remember in The Contender Yod was 72.3 kilos or close to that! Spyda??
My apologies……I really meant to type 72kg and 68kg….Good catch Frank and Shady, thanx.
The weight for the competition was 72kg….and Mbanda walked in at 68kg.
No probs Spyda, you always have interesting points, and I enjoy the thoughts you put behind your words! But Yods uppercut, does he train it in his sleep, how can it be so deceicive all the time?
Thanx ShadyEskimo…..appreciate the compliment…Feels so good to find real Muay Thai fans. Nop…..KEEP IT UP!!!!!
