The Glory Kickboxing Promotion has been in “Full Force” throwing these mega events around the world. Another show was announced today by Glory this time featuring American Nak Muay Kevin Ross. “Glory 8″ will feature a one night, eight man tournament taking place on May 3rd, 2013 at Ariake Coliseum in Tokyo, Japan. This tournament will be in the 143 lbs. weight division with $100,000 going to the winner.

This will be Kevin Ross’s first fight under the multi fight contract he signed with Glory. Other featured fighters in this tournament besides Kevin Ross are Abdellah Ezbiri, Marcos Vinicius, and Mosab Amrani.

This is going to be an active year for Kevin Ross having signed with Glory and Lion Fight Promotions. His last fight was at “Lion Fight 8″ where he defeated Chris Kwiatkowski of New York by unanimous decision. Judging from his last fight he seems to be in tip top shape after the long lay off recovering from ACL Surgery. He is arguably the most well known American Muay Thai Fighter throughout the world.

Kevin Ross’s next scheduled fight is March 15th, 2013 for Lion Fight Promotion’s “Lion Fight 9″ at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV. Kevin Ross will be facing Bernie Mendieta from the UK on the undercard. The main event for “Lion Fight 9″ will be the long anticipated bout between Artem Levin and Simon Marcus being broadcasted live on AXS TV. For a schedule of Glory’s up coming events and news go to Glory World Series.

  1. This is the same tournament that Liam was talking about in his interview. I think this could be the Ross v. Harrison we’ve been waiting for… just a shame it can’t be under full MT Rules.

    Wish I could go.

  2. this is know way is meant to cause offence and my opinion doesn’t really matter a bit anyway but here goes. There’s been so much talk of Ross/Harrison fight, like its a fight that needs to happen etc, But I just dont see it.Obviously Kevin Ross seems to be an experienced, game competitor, but I really don’t think he’s at Liam Harrison’s level.Combined with the long lay off as well I just don’t see it.Harrison is far more experienced and has fought and beaten much better opponents.I watched Ross’s last fight. There is no way that Kwiatkowski would have got out of the 2nd round at best with Harrison.

I think it would be a great fight but maybe at least a year down the line? Fair enough if the money is put up for both fighters and it gets bums on seats but I really don’t see this as a fight that needs to happen the way many others have been talking about it?

Anyway, what do I know I’m just an armchair fan!Best of luck to both fighters either way
