If your looking to get a new pair of gloves for sparring or training, I highly recommend these gloves by Top Ten. I knew a guy who used to wear these. I haven’t seen him in a while, really solid boxer, quite technical. He used beat the piss out of me all the time. He had an extra pair that he would always let me use.
These gloves feel exceptional, the fit is quite secure. The padding on them feels great, It always felt like you could get away with going harder in these gloves. If you do any research on these gloves, you’ll find that there made in Germany and are used in the Olympics and Good Will Games etc.

If your going to be punched in the face, these are the gloves you want to be rocked with. This guy Howie would tee off on me, and yes it would hurt, but I know with any other gloves I would have been screwed. Now I understood why he had two pair… that’s the bitch, if you buy a pair your doing your sparring partner a favor. Ideally you would by two pair, but these gloves are pricey.
I haven’t been able to find too many US retailers I know these gloves are big in the UK and Canada. If anyone finds an online retailer that looks reputable let me know. What gloves do you use and would you recommend them?

I use Twins Special and i would really recommend them. Especially concidering the price for a pair in Thailand.

If you go to primetimefighter.com you can find them for about $55.00.
I personally like Thaismai better than Twins, the velcro on ALL of my Twins gloves is screwed up.

I’ve tried Everlast, Ringside, Twins and a few other generic brands for sparring. I really like the Twins and Ringside gloves. True about gloves, such as the Top 10s and other heavily padded gloves being relatively safe for sparring- just make sure you don’t get too used to the safety!!

for sparring i will never use anything but my Ringside international style gloves! i wish all of my sparring patners had a pair. alot of guys at my gym use Top Contender, twins, fairtex, etc… but, it seems like they all break down and turn into dangerous gloves! the Ringside ones (blue) give me great hand protection and are great for my teammates, without totally letting them off the hook
i’ve seen too many hand injuries, during sparring, with some of the other gloves! actually the top contender ones aren’t bad for about 3 months, bu after that, throw them away!!!
