Last night I was watching a Jerome Le banner highlight video, guy’s a fucking savage. He just looks the part… he looks like he should be shaking down fools on the streets of Paris collecting debts. The guy is pretty scary… got me thinking about who the scariest fighters in the game are? The straight killas. Take, Masato amazing fighter… doesn’t scare me though. Yodesenklai “the computer wizard” not very scary. Zambidis, kinda scary, Malaipet, scary.. Jorgen Kruth scarier. You get the picture. After some serious consideration, I would have to say the fighter that absolutely scares the shit of me is Ramon “Diamond” Dekkers. If your reading this blog, you already know who he is. For those of you who are new to Muay Thai, I’m adding his highlight reel. Most of you have already seen this, but it’s worth the watch.
Ramon Dekkers is a straight pimp. He’s a Dutch fighter who’s considered one of the best Muay Thai fighters ever. His professional fight record is obscene, he’s got something like 200 fights, 175 wins, and about 90 of those wins coming by KO. He was one of the first foreign fighters to go to Thailand to fight and win. In 1991 he became the only foreign fighter in Thai history to be named Fighter of the year.
Call him “The Closer”.. He shuts the coffin on his opponents. ;-)
Dekkers, My Top 5 Muay Thai fighter. maybe top 4. But he is all the hype and some.
