The Rants and Ramblings of a Muay Thai Fan

Farid and Yod part Deux

November 27th, 2007 · 15 Comments

Theses guys are set to meet each other again this Thursday. It’s being broad casted live on Canal+ so hopefully we’ll get a hold of it within a week.

I’m fairly certain this isn’t full MT rules; pretty sure you can’t throw elbows in France. It should be another all out war. For those of you who haven’t seen the fight, I’ll post the final round here.

If you want to catch any of the earlier rounds you can find them on Youtube… there around, but the most of the clips I’ve seen don’t have any sound.

Who do you have?

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

I think it will be full rules actually but with padded elbows perhaps. I’ve been dying to see a rematch between these two but favor Yodsanklai with superior ring generalship and excellent movement.

    Hello,
I’m think this fight is in this rules :
3*3 minutes without ram muay, whitout music, without elbows…this is bad conditions to see a good fight !!! this federation is a big shit !! FFFC&DA !!

Ive watched too many fights taken in France to know that even if the Thai fighters is dominating the match, those damn French judges will still rule it a draw, those cheating bastards. I say Farid will get the draw even if he loses or Farid will win via judge because he’s French.

If Yod uses his punches more- I fancy he will win via points or even KO/TKO!

Paul PP. You’re pretty right. But this analogy is followed in many countries. For example look at the fights in japan.

“In many countries…” is the truth but all the “afficionados” know and see the reality (fighters in first)
but with this rules…isn’t Muay Thaï…this fight is a fake and the result is not very important. this is not the truth !
(sorry my english is fake ! lol ! )

I thought Yod was in Contender Asia?

  • 9 Zou // Nov 28, 2007 at 2:37 am

I don’t know the results of the Contender Asia…but if Yod win The Contender Asia and if he lose the fight vs Villaume…Waouh !! Crazy !!!
Maybe the next big fight in this wheight is Petrosyan vs Villaume or Buakaw vs Villaume…this fights is very good challenges !!!

Already posted by some French Video Ripper. It was a great fight. May be I should post that it was full rules about 4 times to counter all the people posting they are sure this isn’t full rules without knowing what they’re talking about.
