EVO17

If you guys are waiting to watch the fights, I wouldn’t read any further.  Evolution 17 was held this past Saturday.  As you can see from the poster it was an 8-man tournament with a pretty stacked lineup. This should be on TV in about 3 weeks, but as always if anyone comes across the clips feel free to share.

EVO17

Results:

Quarter Final 1

JWP defeats Scerri on points but sustained some damage of his own.

Quarter Final 2

Cosmo Alexander defeats Dzhabar on points (cuts Dzhabar with an elbow in the 2nd round.)

Quarter Final 3

Preacher defeats Diego

Quarter Final 4

Madsua defeats Boom Boom on points

Semi 1

Cosmo defeats JWP with leg kicks in the 2nd round.

Semi 2

Madsua Defeats Preacher on points

Finals:

Cosmo Alexander Defeats Madsua and get’s on spot in the 2009 Kings Cup

Wow, I didn’t see that coming at all.  Last time I saw Cosmo fighting he was taking a serious beating from Yod.  Then again Yod would make short work with a lot of these guys.  I guess what I’m trying to say is that I didn’t think Cosmo was in this caliber… show you what I know…

Anyway I’m really looking forward to watching these.

I have been a fan of Cosmo for a long time. He has gained a great reputation in Thailand so I’m not that surprised that he won. I couldn’t understand why he wasn’t given a K1 max contract because he is certainly good enough.

I may be alone in this but I knew Cosmo could do it.

wow good for cosmo. yep he must have been really disabled cuz after seeing him with Yod I would not have predicted this. Would love to see him give Yods a rematch

Hey, I was just wondering where I can watch these fights, or other Muay Thai events. Here in the USA they’re not broadcast, and I have not been able to find any on torrent trackers. Links to sites where they stream would be awesome, thanks in advance!
