Wow… I’m throwing this into my top 3 episodes of the Contender Asia thus far. I’d also like to say that I take back my earlier comments about Dzhabar
In the end it’s so easy for them to edit the show down to sway viewers and to create drama. I think in this episode they paint Dzhabar in a far better light.

I didn’t see that one coming at all. Holy shit, that has to be one of the gnarliest KO’s caught on film. I feel bad for Soren, but that KO is going to be in Dzhabar’s highlight reel for a long, long time. I was pretty surprised by Dzhabars leg kick, I don’t really remember him using as much in the earlier rounds. I’m pretty sure it was going to become an issue for Soren if the fight had made it into the later rounds.
I think of all the dudes on the Contender, I could see myself getting along with Soren the best. It’s tough to see him go out like that.
As for Dzhabar he looked genuinely distraught… I didn’t for a second feel that his he was once being insincere or disingenuous.
I’m kind of bummed the show is coming to a close. These past weeks it’s provided me with so much entertainment… I’m going to be doing some interviews with the fighters from the show in the following weeks. Like to get there thoughts on the whole experience…
Daaam!! Thats all i have to say!! i bet know one saw that one coming. Man i have not seen someone get knocked out that bad ever.. That man Soreen got airborn!
Dzhabar is way shorter than Soreen…
i just felt a lot of people where hating on Dzhabar cause the way he comes off…
boxing’s roy jones jr got knocked out worse. soren should not have used the knees so early and notice how much knee practice we saw in the show previous to the fight. if we saw that much knee practice wonder how jabba had so much time to plan a counter to that…
I agree about the knee practice, Jabba’s reaction with the left hook was too fast to be just pure reflex. He obviously trained for that.
He really flew in the air man. Like Brad Pitt in Snatch.
Ouch. That’s all I can say. Ouch.
I didn’t realize how much I wanted Soren to win until he lost. Oh well…
If they put Yod vs. JWP in the semis I’ll be pissed…
Soren even said before the fight he had to watch Jabba’s hooks!

Soren only lowered his guard for a milisecond and BOOM Dzhabars hook. He really timed it well and nice observation(or reaction)that the guard went down shortly. I really thought that Sorens Technique would beat Dzhabars Aggresiveness, but he was Totally calm and Cool and struck like a Cobra. I REALLY Hope that there will be a season 2.
It would be a shame if Yod and JWP fought next :(.
agree! was a great episode nop, i also agree with wot u say bout DA, b4 the comp and even in the early rounds i always had the impression he would be 1 ov those ignorantn disrespectful fighters…but know..great guy and so wrong for judging him that way, i actually hope he wins this now, i think he deserves that! im hoping hes at wmc next time im out there, or would be happy to try rompo and train alongside arslan and co. too!!! :)
Dhzabar said it best when he said ‘I’m really hungry for fights’. Some people are just born and bred to be fighters, and I think he’s one of them. Soren’s such a nice guy, but he looked almost nervous in the locker room, whereas Dhzabar was feeding off the adrenaline like it was where he was meant to be.
Cool you all are warming up to the Likeable Dzhabar, me and Suli was some of the Few who liked him from the get go. I just Love his warmth and Honesty, and he is a dangerous fighter.

i like when jabba is in the locker room and he says ” i like to make war in the ring” that craked me up!!
Man….How sad!!…It broke my heart to see Soren drop….but when after 30 seconds he was still down….I actually got really scared for him. I liked Soren a lot, a whole lot I can’t believe he got caught. All props to Dhzabar…I would love to call this a lucky shot…but I would be lyin to myself and to all ur guyz. Much props to Dhzabar, Im not gonna jump on the bandwagon though…I still don’t really care for him….but I have to give him the respect as a warrior.
One question….why is everyone hoping that JWP fights Yod in semi???…I don’t get it!

Hi Jake.,..thanx for replyin….now my next question is wut difference does it make whether they meet in the finals or in the semis?????? As long as they fight each other JWP will get to get his second chance….besides…..it’s presumptious to assume that JWP will even make it to the finals…lol. We’ve all seem wut Dhzabar can do….and Sean has definitely proven to be a real force to reckon with.

Buakaw vs Kraus… i believe Buakaw’s weaponry is suited more for Muay Thai as for K-1. He could be kicking endlessly, but K-1 judges will not score it, just remember his previous fights or Yod vs Souwer.
Ok, to the original theme… damn, I was shocked over that KO. I feel you spydaman, Soren was a great guy, it’s really devastating to see him KO’ed like that. Did you see Sean’s reaction in the ring? He was like wtf… that was just too much for everyone. Soren is very technical but like Yod said, probably can’t deal with good boxers.
Dzabar is a hard, tough fighter. He seems more aggressive than just pure skill. It worked for him in this fight big time. I think that Yod, Sean, JWP will be looking out for how devestating Dzabar can be if they get in with him.

nak rohp i have no idea why u thought dzahabar would be an ignorant disrespectful fighter. he is just a person that demands a high level of respect from everyone. and he is also respects other people in the same manner. when they interviewed yod about sean he said he would have to train hard cus sean is scary. thats probably the producers setting up the yod vs sean fight…..i wouldnt mind seeing dzabhar fight sean though

spyda – i think i’m really pushing for JWP to fight Yod because i so desperately want to see dhazabar and sean fight. solid test for sean before he has to take on the likes of other Yod or JWP.
