Doing Your Homework

I really don’t like getting my ass kicked, but it’s going to happen. That being said you can and should manage your risk. If your going to step in the ring, you should have at minimum a general idea of what to expect. For instance in MMA when standing you can expect, punches, Knees, and Kicks. I think at minimum you need to know how to defend against these things… even if your told in between rounds. I came across this video this morning of Todd Lally giving a poor sap a lesson in Muay Thai, it’s absolutely insane. Watching this, I can’t help think who the hell was cornering this kid? Do they hate him? This poor bastard is going to be hurting for at least 2 weeks.
Dang son, go and find a Muay Thai gym and start training asap. No Muay Thai gym? Fine turn on the damn TV, Watch a UFC, PRIDE, or K-1 bout. I just find it very hard to believe you stepped into a ring apparently without a clue.

If that guy was a good low kicker, he should’ve been able to put the guy away with less than a quarter of the kicks he threw. Those low kicks were really snappy and lacked accuracy. MORE POWA.
