Many thanks for for passing this along, and many thanks to rob147snow for taking the time to upload and share.  The rest of the rounds can’t be embedded, however you can view the rest of the rounds here.

This was fight was 2nd main event at the Dan Green’s Duel at the Dome.  Damien fights out of the K-Star Gym in Birminham, and as many of you already know, Rungravee is a little wrecking ball out of the Sasiprapa gym in Bangkok.  Sasiprapa is also one of the gyms we’ll be visiting as part of the MMT Tours.  We’ll get some face time with Rungravee maybe get some pointers on how to make our leg kicks nasty.

For those of you who don’t know Damien, he clearly isn’t one to take lightly.  Damien was the former 1 ranked fighter in the UK, for his division he holds a slew of belts (IKF world champion
WMC MAD world champion,WMC European champion,IKF European Champion and WKL European Champion)

Anyway, this is a great fight, hat’s off to Damien looks like you really kept your cool and stayed focused.

  1. that fight was a joy to watch.Iv seen a few of rungravees fights and hes so good. but honestly damien trainor is just boss.pretty Inapriational I think.Hes a war machine and gives as good as he gets always.his technique is tops aswell!

  2. Good for Damien to get in there but he was more then outclassed in this match… never been a fan of titles outside of Thailand people get the wrong impression of the sport until they see real thaiboxing like that scenario… I would sooner have 150 losses to top thais then a belt from some random opponent… it must be hard on the self confidence after a fight like this… nothing worse ten 10 random titles but after a fight like that it doesn’t mean much.

  3. Cheers for your comments mate I wouldn’t say I was out classed but Rungravee certainly won but I did more than held my own I even gave weight away in that match which many westerners wouldn’t do and still proved a hand full for him. Sorry you feel the need to have a dig but hey ho I’m sure I’ll get over it :-)

  4. more than outclassed…really? watch the fight again. damien put up a hell of a fight and even got the better of a few exchanges.

good work damien, hell of a showing.

  5. didn’t realize you gave weight away, i thought you fought hard but as far as thai scoring felt you were outclassed this night not trying to be a dick you were the one fighting not me that is an accomplishment in itself and earns my respect.

  6. Cheers mate I believe I made Rungravee work for his win unlike many other fighters I’ve seen him fight. Yes I was out scored going by the criteria in muay Thai but out classed I feel is a little harsh ….but peoples opinion on things differ so my interpretation of being out classed and yours are obviously different, but if everyone thought the same it would be a boring world :-)

  7. Your humble attitude is inspiring tbh you just made a new fan! I felt you fought hard and did well and no shame in losing to Rungravee my friend he is a beast… I should rephrase what I meant outscored was more how I meant it just a phrase sorry if it seemed harsh.

  8. Easy to say “outclassed” when you are not the one on the card with Rungravee.

Damien welcome to MMT, great showing of MT against a very strong Rungravee. Hope to see you on more cards like these, man

  9. Cheers padkeemow it’s the fight I’ve enjoyed the most out of my 70 odd fights over the years, there’s a few other big fights in the pipeline just waiting on a few things to get ironed out :-)

  10. rungravee was using front kicks. that was the sickness.

  11. I thought Damien did great considering who his opponent was. Why don’t some of you elitist dirtbags with the snide, snobby, disparaging remarks try getting in the ring for once and see what it’s like. Rungravee may have gotten the better of the exchanges, but both men were all class and heart throughout the fight.

  12. people keep saying things like they think damien to well considering ….etc etc.I dont see it this way at all.I think damien put in a very solid performance against a very good apponant.considering nothing. He was wasnt outclassed just beaten, which in 70 odd fights is likely to happen.Of a few in the uk I could see Damien beating him on another occasion.Rungravee is a total beast always forward but with really strong clinical technique. But (and il watch the fight again)I think the same can pretty much be said of trainor.I think it was an ace fight wish id seen it live

  13. if muaythaiguy thinks trainor was outclassed thats fine. people have opinions, whether they are positive or negative is not the point. the point is its a real opinion…..

you can have respect for a fighter[and fighters in general] and still give an unbiased review of the fight. at least if the fighter[and fanboys] are mature enough to take criticism and grow from it. not just look for pats on the back.

its tiring seeing people trying to ride the high horse whenever something other than generic, almost robotic, praise is given to the fighter that happens to be present on the forum. regardless of the outcome of the fight or performance.

  14. se -you really are the napolian dynamite of my muay thai.com.if you last 5 rounds with rungravee and actually make him fight in the 5th be sure to post the video.im not just a fanboy i have seen trainor fight in quite a few fights and generally think hes good, or is that not relevant?remember some of us on here arent from the states and have been watching our uk muay thai fighters for a while, so that is just my opinion.im also not sure after 70+fights he needs to grow or develop from muaythai guys critique of that fight.am i missing your point here?

  15. LOL..ok manant, now you gonna make me add humor to my dreary Monday..enjoy: Rex kwon do!
