Every time I see Faldir fight, I find myself thinking don’t judge a book by its cover. Dudes’ got a wonky eye and is built like an accountant, but he can throw down. I actually think he fared better then some of the Doctors recent opponents… He’s so young I only see him getting better in the next few years. I’d love to see him and Yodsanklai full Thai rules.
Sorry for the delay in posts… I just got back from Athens. Athenians… your city rocks. In a weird way it reminded me a lot of Thailand, controlled chaos.

Faldir impressed me, along with Buakaw and Souwer the best opponent that I’ve seen fighting Petrosyan.
Too bad they hate Faldir in Japan, they even went so far to forbid the organisation in the Netherlands to let him compete in K-1 max qualification tournament wich Kaestner won, so afraid are they that he would qualify.

Anyways, Giorgio was not 100% here, I think because he managed Faldir pretty easily. Faldir is good, but Petrosyan is much better.

Petro did seem to have trouble with fighting another lefty. Even if he was switch-hitting, it seemed to derail his usual tactics.
No Gus i’m afraid it’s the sad truth, I’ve read it a couple of times in my fightsportmagazine, the reason the japanese(or K-1) don’t want him is because in their opinion his style lacks fighting spirit(counterpuncher only they say), and he lacks the charisma, built, spectacularness of let’s say Drago (Drago is the K-1’s prototype of fighter they want, read that also)
That Faldir is better than 3/4 of K-1 Max’s fighters isn’t going to tip the scales in his favour, too bad..
Faldir surprises me as he has shown to b a worthy opponent for the Dr but not reli a threat yet.. “Enter sandman” to start the mood was reli good(irrelevant)..the way petrosyan hold his leg weigh down when get caught is reli nicee….good fight!
