Cedric Mueller in Action

August 5, 2009 by nopstar

Since we’ve spent some time discussing the upcoming 2nd season of the Contender MuayThai, I thought it would only be appropriate to show some of the Contenders in action.   This clip is Cedric Mueller vs. Season 1 Contender David Pacquette.

Many Thanks to Spydaman for taking the time to upload these from his collection.

Upon doing a little bit more research it appears they’re going with the whole mentor model in season 2.  The Mentors, Ray Sefo and Clifton Brown…

Thoughts?

Clifton Brown Yes, Ray Sefo NO!!! My reasoning for this is because Clifton has done so much for the AUTHENTIC Muaythai community and he mos def keeps it as close to the authentic as possible. This def sounds like something political as far as Ray Sefo is concerned. He is a K-1 Grand Prix Heavyweight fighter and was never really known for anything other than the fact that he had a chin made of GRANITE and was extremely tough. No disrespect to Ray at all but there are TONS of other Nak Muay out there that could have been chosen as a mentor. I guess they were looking for mentors that speak good English so let’s think of a few. I do believe that Dida Diafat speaks english, Dany Bill. I’m not French but these two Nak Muay did very well for themselves back in the golden era of Muaythai. There are a ton more but i’m at work and could be writing all day.. Peace..

unless i’m mistaken, wasn’t Sefo a 4 or 5 time Muay Thai champion back in the 90′s? not debating that he’s a strange choice, but it’s not like he has no experience with pure MT.
