I just came across this footage via headkicklegend, It’s footage of Kyshenko vs his Thai opponent Dee Teerapong. I’m not sure what Teerapong’s ring name is… does anyone know who this is? This clip is from the sportaccord games currently being held in china

I’ve been looking for this clip for a couple of weeks now.  This clip is from the RISE superfight that took place about a month ago. Hinata is one of K1′s new rising star.  Kyshenko is another dynamic fighter that I really enjoy watching.

I know Kyshenko’s primary style is MuayThai, but based on this fight I’ve got a sneaking suspicion that Kyshenko has a strong kickboxing background.  I don’t know why but I really felt Kyshenko fought differently then he normally does.

I don’t know if it was Hinatas frenetic rhythm, but something took Kyshenko off his game.  The opening two rounds were a bit cringe worthy… it was just felt that it was really sloppy kickboxing.

When I read about this fight, I was pretty shocked… but to be honest it looked as if he was really beginning to get the better of Kyshenko.  It annoys me to see NakMuay’s fighter under k1 or kickboxing rules, but hey you’ve got to get paid right?  I was trying to slow down the vid to see what that shot was… I’m thinking that had to be a liver kick.  It’s hard to believe someone as conditioned as Kyshenko could be brought down by a shot to the midsection alone.

I did a post on Antuan about 2 years ago… for those new to MuayThai, Antuan is a French national who’s been living and training in Thailand since he was about 11.  He’s currently 19, and according the Thailand vs. Challenger website his current record stands at 71W and 20 L, impressive considering nearly all of his fights have been in Thailand.

This bout was part of the Thailand vs. Challenger series; although looks to have been part of the Queens birthday celebration fights last week.

Looking at the size difference, I was actually expecting a little more out of Antuan.  I know it’s preposterous for me to make comments like that from the safety of my keyboard… but I felt like with the height and reach and advantage Antuan should have been all elbows and knees.

It is Saiyok afterall, and I guess getting decked by one of his big uppercuts or leg kicks would keep you fairly occupied and off your game.  What I was a bit surprised by his hands… they seemed a bit loose.  If he’s going to continue to fight in Holland he’ll probably have to work on that.

Anyway, looking forward to more of these Challenger fights.  Many thanks to the siangboxing camp for the uploads.

This fight took place back in March it was a part of the “It’s Showtime” Milan show.  You might think the match up looks vaguely familiar but this Armen Petrosyan,  Giorgio’s younger and more aggressive sibling.

Last time I profiled the brothers Petrosyan they were doing some cable access commericial for lawn furniture.  I hope to god these guys got some management.

Armen appears to be more aggressive then his bro.  I don’t think he’s as polished but seems to get it done.    Askerov… what can I say, he’s got heart but he really beginning to remind me of Gago, or Zambidis.  It seems like K-1 should be beating down his door, he really seems his style of fighting fits with the K-1 programme.  He drops lots of bombs, but seems incredibly predictable.  I was surprised he’ tried that looping overhead right with Armen… Last time he tried that things ended badly. (skip to 9:07)

That knee is such an elegent solution for an overhead right… it just requires ridiculous timing.  Giorgio seems to have mastered it and makes it look all too easy.

In fact most of my training partners and I drill that exact move, and it does require loads of drilling to anticipate and meet the punch.

Happy Friday MMT, I don’t know about you but I’m glad Friday is here.  My training has been inconsistent at best and the warm evenings haven’t helped my motivation.

Anyway, I wanted to leave you with some more Kem Sitsongpeenong!  When I originally found came across the clip via Loopnoub, I didn’t realize this was part of a elimination/tournament.

So the fight with Millet would have been the Semi-Final, and this bout with Abdallah Mabel would have been the final.

Since arriving at Sitsongpeenong it really seems like he’s been active in Europe. For those of you who are new to MMT, Kem is the currently the Lumpini no.1 ranked fighter at 147lbs, and former Rajadomnern (130lbs) champion.

I thinking about heading over there next time in Bangkok to check it out.  Judging by Pics on Kevin Ross’s fbook, he spent some time there in preparation for the 8 man.  Anyway,

Props to Hellfighter of the k1-fans forum for ripping this for us.  This was his last fight in Thailand.  Abs did a post for us a couple of weeks ago.

I guess when you’re Sanchai you’ve got to get used to going up and down in weight to get any fights.  I still haven’t seen this fight yet… so enough chit chat.  Enjoy.

This is footage from the inaugural MSA event at the Reebok, in Bolton.  It’s hard to believe it’s been 8 months since that show.  I got some decent pics from the event; you can check them out here.

Anyway, it’s our favourite Nak Muay, Sanchai vs. Rob Storey.  It isn’t much of a bout, but it’s Sanchai after all.  If you guys haven’t seen any of the MSA DVD’s that’s Mr MuayThai, Rob Cox doing the commentary with Vinny Shoreman.

Pornsaneh 13 Coins Tower vs Pakorn Sakyothin

Just a week after Saenchai’s fight against Petmangkon, another 13 Coins champion lost on points.  As promised here are some images and video from Pornsaneh’s rematch with Pakorn at Rajadamnern last week.

I haven’t watched the video since the fight because I’ve been too busy figuring out how to convert the files and then they took a while to upload. But I’d love to hear what people have to say. As I said, Pakorn won on points, but some people felt that Pornsaneh should have taken the match. Those people, admittedly, were his trainers and friends — who no doubt had money riding on the fight — so their opinion might be very relevant here.  Nevertheless there was some discussion that the judge was playing favourites because Pakorn is a Rajadamnern fighter and of course, Pornsaneh a Lumpini champion.

Either way it was one of the most exciting fights I’ve seen in a while. These guys were unrelenting as they battled away for 5 rounds using all their weapons.  Another rematch is being talked about — date not yet set.

Came across this one on K-1Fans the other day… it’s from back in April.  When I was last back in Thailand, I saw Bovy at Rajadomnern… i stopped to ask him about his fresh scar tissue on his face, he replied that he just had a lot of fun fighting in Japan.  I guess this was the “Fun” he’s talking about.

Per Bovy it isn’t pretty but, it’s still entertaining. Many thanks to fightreloaded for the upload and sharing.   Enjoy!
