Buakaw vs. Namsaknoi

March 27, 2009 by nopstar

If you guys are in BKK and are looking for a bit of a break.  I suggest you head down to Patong Stadium in Phuket on the 30th.  Ok, so its just an exhibition match but Buakaw and Namsaknoi in the house?  Come on get in there.  Natb19 maybe you can run down there and snap some pics or get some footage for us?

I would be psyched to get down there just to check out Namsaknoi’s ram muay, it’s quiet possibly the most graceful of all current nak muays. For those of you who are new to MuayThai, I would suggest you check out his profile page and watch the HL clip.  He’s definately one of the all time greats.

Many thanks to Danny Avison, of Rawai MuayThai for sharing this clip with us.

How does it work? Exhibition, so Its just for fun, and not serious?? I mean they are old Camp Buddies, and Namsaknoi cornered for Buakaw in the Beginning of his Max carrer sometimes! So they wouldnt go all out Eh??

Wonders if Yod will be wanting to get down there to arrange something? Hasnt Yod been wanting an open door to get a chance to fight Buakaw? By the way, im new to this site posting but i have been regularly visiting and reading ur posts which are always great to read and keep up with the Muay Thai scene. Love it!

ShadyEskimo – my gym used to put on exhibitions against each other all the time when we had too many people wanting to fight and not enough gyms wanting to fight. It’s like sparring with 70% or 80%, the goal isn’t to destroy them, just to show off skills.

Even if it’s only exhibition it’s great to see these two legends together!
    Can’t wait to see it…

I can’t get to Bangkok for this, it’s sounds like a great show…

Anyone in BKK who can take some snaps/footage?

I think Buakaw takes this. I assume this is going to be in 155 lb. division- Namsaknoi was at his best much lighter than that.

1500 Baht. Two rounds, no gloves. Still worth it.

On the subject of this exhibition, was wondering if any of you guys had read this article, and what your thoughts are on it.
