Sorry this was a little late getting up.  This was another bout from the Thai Fight series in Hong Kong.  This is the “White Lotus” against I think a fairtex sponsored fighter from Brazil.  I don’t know much about Gilmar except he’s got heart.

Yet another massive mismatch, I don’t think I’ve ever seen beat (literally) someone so badly.  Normally when someone takes a beating like this their corners will intervene or they’ll go down.  This is one of the first times I’ve ever seen throw elbows, definitely the first time I’ve ever seen a reverse elbow from .

I thought for sure we were going to see a repeat of the Sakmongkol vs Martinez fight,  Gilmar took so many left kicks to that arm…

As you can see by the end of the 3rd, Buakaw is either displaying “fighters compassion” by laying off him, or he’s completely gassed from using him as a punching bag.  Again, hats off to Gilmar for staying in it.

  1. seems like all the thai fighters on this event were given easy-ish opponents and were told to go hard on them. feels like they are trying to make muay thai international but the want the thai nak muays to be known as number one…

  2. after round 2 the ref has to show buakaws opponent to the correct corner…
