How timely is this match up?
I might try to get to this, gonna be war. I ‘m going to make a lot of people on MMT unhappy with this comment, but I think Fabio can take this.

He’s really getting to the top of his game at the moment. I think the white lotus put on a good show this past weekend, but I think Pinca is a much stronger fighter then Piscitello.
Thoughts? Outrage? Scorn?

How did you know at this time?! Shit that this wasn`t to happen now while where able to watch another very good representative of the art winning against Fabio. Postponed is not canceled so I looking forward for this one in the near future!

Is pinca fighting in his home country ( I know hes italian bloodline but raised in france ).. If it comes to a decision then I think the frenchies will give it to thier homeboy..
I like Buakaw but I think he could be in some serious trouble.. Fabios pretty damn good.
As a side note.. does anyone know what happend to sudsakorn.. why isnt he fighting in the thai fight and same for saiyok.. is it coz of thier weight. Theyre both fantastic fighters

Yeah, I miss seeing Sudsakorn fight. One of the few “really cocky” fighters that I like watching. Has amazing timing.

I think Buakaw seems to have been fighting at this weight longer than Pinca, right? I remember not too long ago, Pinca being in a much lighter weight class- under 140?
I’m picking the white lotus because he’s handsome.

I’m really surprised how many people are picking Pinca for this looking around online. I think Pinca’s great but to me Buakaw’s got an edge in every department speed, size, power, combos, technique, ect. But who knows, I gave up predicting fights a long time ago, you just never know what’s gonna happen

I think maybe because Pinca is a savage beast, probably in the sack too!
Anyway, he has losses to Kem, Sittichai and (even Yamato, which was BS). I rank Kem slightly below Buakaw.

Last autumn Sitsongpeenong tried to arrange a fight between Kem and Buakaw with a big sidebet beside the Thaifight-tournament and Kem was very excited about this one to happen but Por Pramuk Mng. didn`t agree :-(

You’re supposed to get in their with Pinca, right?
November 30, 2011 at 8:43 pm
Pinca’s toughness and pace will make it interesting but it is going to be extremely difficult for him to outpoint Buakaw or actually break him, which is what he tries to do against slicker opponents. I think that he only has an outside chance.

pinca by ko, left hook
December 1, 2011 at 12:09 pm
By KO??? That’s a bold statement lol
November 30, 2011 at 11:33 pm
Pinca’s pace? Pinca seems to fight really slow and relaxed most of the time I’ve never thought of him as a high paced fighter whereas Buakaw starts slow and builds to a very high pace that most can’t deal with. @ Tong Poo, ya there’s been talks of fight with him and Liam for the past year or two, I’m sure both will happen in the near future

Have you seen him vs Petchmonkong, Boughanem, Sudsakorn, Attachai, Danthai? He can weather all sorts of damage and still deliver techniques at a very high frequency, with power, until the final bell. He wears guys out, that’s how he eventually got to Sudsakorn. I actually can’t remember seeing him in a fight in which the opponent looked fresher in the end.

To be honest he looked a bit stonewashed after Attachai`s body massage. He defo got heart and gives it even when he is down. i think thats why folks also love him..heart and a late bloomer. I think fabio is good, but I am with Kev on this one. I think Lotus can match his pace and beat him on accuracy and range control. There are numerous times we have seen fighters totally dominate others, but somehow get thrown off by Lotus. Piscitello was big and had more reach I think and his stiff jabs found thier mark but Lotus seems to know how ton weather those after K1. I am not saying its a walkover…just also pleasantly surprised by the amount of folks rooting for Pinca. Makes for a good buildup!…
Sombat for me..yes also because I think he is a handsome karaoke phenom

It’s a toss up for me!!!! I think Pinca has the tools to pull a win but it all depends on which Buakaw steps in the ring that night. A lotta ppl have been comparing Pinca’s past fights…but not a lotta ppl have noticed how much better he’s been gettin after each fight. He’s definitely at the top of his game. However just because Pinca has the “tools” to beat Buakaw (mainly his hands), I still think White Lotus will pull the win, just not as easily as Saenchai or Attachai pulled it.

Should be an exciting fight and I hope Fabio fights as well as he did against Mosab but for me Buakaw will take it by points. He looked good against Mosab but Buakaw is on a completely different level!
I have a lot of respect for Fabio! He has been through some wars and been in with the best. Fighting fighters like Saenchai and Attachai at there best. He has been dominated by Saenchai whilst Saenchai was at his peak and I think that can be dangerous for Buakaw because there is nothing Buakaw can do to him that Fabio hasn’t already experienced, he’s been there done that and every time has learnt from his losses. Fabio is extremely HUNGRY and you can see it when he fights. Heart of a lion!
Buakaw has been in there with the best K1 fighters and the best Muay Thai fighters and for me his experience with fighting a huge variety of fighters gives him the edge because I don’t think Fabio can do any better against Buakaw then Giorgio Petrosyan did. The only thing I would say is that Fabio is better in the clinch and is a lot more aggressive then Petrosyan but then again Petrosyan is a southpaw which I feel Buakaw had problems with and Fabio is an orthodox fighter which will make it much easier for Buakaw….
