For those of you who’ve spent anytime at Sitmonchai may or may not recognise Apisak in the ring. I’ve always referred to Apisak and Apisit as the twins ( I can not tell them apart) Oh yeah did I mention there is a 3rd brother? Not even sure what his name is… anyway it’s quite entertaining watch them beast each other in the clinch.

Who’s who?
Here is clip of Apisak fighting for the vacant super light weight Rajadomnern title. Many thanks to Dave ” Suk Jai” Fox for the link.

***Spoiler***
This fight is a milestone in Japanese Muay Thai as it marks the 4th time a Japanese nak muay has one the Rajadomnern belt. According to the post the 3 other Nak Muay who won it were: Toshio Fujiwara in 1978, Kozo Takeda and Hitoshi Ogasawara. Props to Ishi for making the history books.

These guys are the coolest dudes in the world! Apisit is the one on the left and Apisak on the right. The youngest brother is called apiluck (I think its spelt) who is really good in the clinch but can drink like there’s no tomorrow lol oh and they all love to dance.

Joshua1990-
Thanks for finding that clip… I was looking for this exact clip, the pasty guy in the background is birthday boy, Matt Lucas.
Watching these guys clinch, leads me to believe they’ve been beasting each other ever since they could walk.

I remember watching a video of Fujiwara fight for the title before. He was a bit unconventional for muay thai, like many japanese fighters. I think he even did some judo looking throws. Of course, we all know Kozo. I don’t know Hitoshi Ogasawara, however.

What’s with these “vacant” rajadamnern titles, Kozo Takeda won a vacant title, Toshio also won his title in strange circumstances. Am i missing something here?
Granted 140 is a large weightclass for raj, but still it isn’t like it’s 160 where almost no Thais fight.

Very humble guys and entertaining to watch at training especially when all three brothers start sparring and clinching. Considering that their english was limited, they were always on hand to offer tips when asked.
Thanks for the link, it’s good to see that the brothers are getting international fights nowadays.

Funny thing is the youngest brother, Apirak, only began drinking a little over a year ago if I remember correctly. You can thank Michael G for that one. All seriousness those guys are great, both as fighters and people, always willing to help.
