Most of the UK Nak Muay will be familiar with Andy Thrasher (yes that his real name) he’s one of the UK’s top Nak Muay. I’m be publishing an interview with Andy sometime next week, and I thought it would be nice for the American Muay Thai community to get to know him a little.
As you can see from the clip this was Andy’s latest bout at the 2011 Toyota Marathon tournament. This clip is from the finals and was facing Lumpini no.1 ranked Prakaisaeng Gaiyanghadao.
When Andy’s home he trains out of GFC in the greater Manchester area. When he’s back in Thailand he calls Jitti gym his home. He fights at 67 KG (147lb) and has approximately 54 fights with 6 loses.
His accomplishments:
- 2011 Toyota Marathon Champion
- 2010 WMC – Muay Thai Against Drugs Champion
- WKA Champ
- Former British Champion

Andy Thrasher is a top bloke.I dont know him very well, but he always goes out of his way to say hello if you bump in to him at a show etc.Hes a great inspiration as a fighter.he has massively improved his already good game in the last few years aswell.

on a side note.Kevin ross vs liam harrison gets mentioned a lot as a good fight but I also think Ross vs Thrasher would be a great fight?

Chris Tran….If u read this…..Ross vs Thrasher!!!!! Bring them to Jersey….make it happen!!!! (Do the Ross vs Harrison first though….lol)
