Happy 2552!

I just wanted to wish you guys a very happy and safe 2009, or 2552 of your living in Thailand.  Personally this has probably been my hardest year to date, full of transition and change.

MMT is a constant in my life, and it’s nice to turn my focus to this if only for a few minutes a day.  I wanted to thank you guys for being a part of this.  Have a safe night and I’ll catch you soon.

Guinea 8 man Semi-final and Final

Here is the rest of the Guinea 8 man tournament.  I was on K-1 fans and read that Lamsongkram was disqualified for elbowing Gunyar.  Lamsongkram was allowed to continue as Gunyar couldn’t continue.

I still haven’t had a chance to check out the rest of these fights.  I suspect I’ll get to them this weekend.  Saw Yodsanklai and Varaksa… I totally agree with fightgeek, who thought it would be a good idea to put those two in the ring?  As usual many props to stackmo for sharing.    Oh and Jono if you’re reading this… send me another email… your email bounced.

Guinea 8 Man Tournament

Hi ladies and gents!  I hope everyone had an eventful holiday?  I had a friend in town so I decided to take a little mini break from MMT.com

I think a lot of you thought I got run over by a truck.  Thanks SpydaMan and others for your checking up on me, but yes I’m alive and doing surprisingly well.

Anyway enough chit chat, down to MT biz… So while we were away, one of the larger Muay Thai events in recent memory took place in Guinea.  I’m going to be rolling out the vids so I’m going to ask that you please don’t put up any spoilers.  We’ll get to all the matches.  A huge thanks to Stackmo for taking the time to rip and upload these vids for us.

Bak to Ong Bak

I was on Skype this morning with natb19 and was one of the lucky ones to catch Ong Bak 2.  The trailer looks interesting, however it does resemble some sort of a HL reel his team put together to shop around for biz at Canne.

A little while ago it didn’t look like this movie was going to see the light of day.  The Thai media loves to turn any bit of gossip into the latest headlines… well actually that seems like nearly all of the American 24 hours news outlets. Read more
