Somrak Tsunami Event

Another slow news day… anyway I was watching this the other day, despite being a few years old it’s still worth sharing.  As always many thanks to our community member bsfbkhdj for uploading and sharing these clips.

I would have actually liked to have seen Somrak in his prime.  I know Somrak is the shit, but just once I’d like to see him fight someone who seems up to the tasks.  I know that’s a ridiculous statement, but I’ve never seen him fight someone who’s on the level.  I know Keddle is a good nak muay but I’m looking for someone a whole step better. I was thinking about some of the strange stuff you’ll run into in any country when you venture off the beaten path.  I found this next vid on Fightgeeks blog, seriously I don’t know where you find have this stuff.

It’s quiet in Thailand, I don’t think they’ve scheduled any bouts do to the passing of the Kings Sister.  I’m not sure how much longer the mourning will last.

Until then, we’re going to dig into the archives and find some old footage.  I came across this today, it’s from the Tsunami even 3 years ago.  Quite the battle, after the last post I couldn’t help focusing on their liver shots. Read more

One of the Buddha’s central themes was Annica, or impermanence.  He taught that all things change, nothing remains.

When I have conversations about this, people often comment on how depressing it all sounds.  I don’t tend to look at it that way.   I like to think that we should really seize our opportunities.  We should say the things we’ve always meant to say, to do that one thing you’ve been meaning to do. We take so many things for granted, financial security, relationships, ones health etc.  I could go on and on, but the truth of the matter is nothing is certain. Read more
