PSA no. 2

I posted my first PSA months ago, about the Thai ladies and their proficiency with a blade… A friend of mine sent this to me the other day.  I haven’t been on this before, but it looks like a training journal of a guy who’s gone to train in Muang Thai.

I forget that people often get into trouble when their out training in Thailand.  I’m not down with the whole sex tourism thing… not my bag.  I see way too many guys who’ll walk around leering at every woman like they were for sale. Read more

Bring back crazy Mike

I’m always surprised that I’m not seeing Mike Tyson in K-1.  I know he’s out of it, but I still think he could take some heads off.

I think it’s because he’s too unpredictable, unstable and most importantly crazy.  The Japanese love Bob Sapp because he’ll play that role, but in the end I’m sure he’s quite reasonable.  Mike on the other hand would probably eat someone in the front row. Read more

Kings Cup 2008

This December 5th Thailand will be celebrating the King’s 81^st birthday.  One Songchai promotions will be putting on the 2008 Kings Cup Championship tournament.

As some of you might have been aware the Songchai promotion machine is a family affair.  Songchai Jr. Has been very active promoting the event online.    I know the Songchai fights have always been very big on promoting Muay Thai worldwide.  If I remember correctly most of the fighters in the Kings Cup are foreign fighters. Nong-O Sit O vs Singthongnoi

So this is battle is between Nong-O vs. Singthongnoi.  Nong-O has been on fire an I believe is ranked in the top 5 in Lumpini and top 10 in Rajadomnern. Singthongnoi is ranked in the top 5 Rajadomenern Featherweights

Holland <3 Nak Muays

Some of you may be heading to Thailand in November to train and catch some fights.  While you at Lumpini or Rajadomnern, you’ll probably wonder where the hell all the fighters went?

Turns out most of your favorite Nak Muay’s will be chilling in the Netherlands the week of the 23rd.  Seems like the Dutch have monopolized all the good fights.  Normally I would be psyched… but unfortunately the British Home Office (immigration) still hasn’t returned my passport!  They’ve had it since April, and I don’t expect it back until February! Muay Thai Documentary

I came across this documentary the other night, I’ve only had a chance to get through the first 3 clips.  It’s kind of dated, and I’m not really feeling the people they’ve interviewed…but I’m giving them props for all the old footage they’ve included.

It’s fairly long so, if this will give you something to entertain you while you’re supposed to be working!
