We’re roughly a month away from the K-1 World GP championships. The FEG has gone all the way and put up a super happy fun time flash site.

Is it me or does Choi’s head look fake? He looks like a human bobble head. LeBanner is looking rough as shit. I’m actually moderately looking forward to this years Championships.
The Match Up’s are set… what do you guys think?
My two cents…
Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.
Lebanner over Choi, by decision, no issues, no late groin kicks, no head stomps, no drama. The second match up is a little bit difficult for me.
Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.
I can’t stand Schilt, so my tendency is to always bet against him. I think Feitosa will be able to eek out a decision, but at a price.
Another tough call, I’m like both these guys. If I remember correctly Remy took some time off due to his mothers passing. I think it’s been some time since he fought last. I’ve got Hari by decision
Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.
I’ve got to go back and watch Junichi’s fights, I don’t remember him really standing out at all. I’m calling Aerts’ by KO.
Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.
So I think Lebanner will get through Feitosa. I’ve also got Hari over Aerts… maybe it’s wishful thinking. If this fight does happen it’s the one I’m most looking forward to seeing. Aerts is a legend, but I think he’ll gas against Hari. I feel Hari has just a little bit more speed and quickness. I’ve got Hari by decision.
Finals: Lebanner vs. Hari. I think if these guys are into the final, they are going to be equally damaged. I honestly don’t recall what Lebanner’s gas is like, but I think this is Hari’s year. I’ve got Hari by Dec.
Anyway what do you guys think?

Not too into K-1 but I can foresee a Choi and Schilt meeting in the final.

Choi?..In the finals???…Not a chance…lol. Bonjasky all the way !! Why does he have to fight Hari in the first round…that sucks, I was hoping they could meet in the finals. If Remy doesn’t make it…he will…..be if he doesn’t…lol…..I’m rooting for Hari….and then My French compatriot Lebanner….poor guy deserves it…he’s been around so damn long.

Aerts or Bonjasky or LeBanner. I would love to see LeBanner since he never won GP. But against Aerts I doubt it. Schilt is of course favorite but I don’t want to see winning again. These big guys are boring, slow and non-technical.

yo nop,
junichi beat labanner earlier this year on points after knocking him down twice in that fight. he seems like a smart fighter, but not the strongest as you can tell lebanner wasn;t koed

Junichi vs Lebanner:
Part 1
Part 2

Junichi’s form seems to be cleaner than most in his weight class. Combined with decent technical ability, as evidenced in his matches against Lebanner, Randy Kim and Yusuke Fujimoto, I’m curious to see how he fairs against Aerts.

Hopefully: Aerts
Probably: Schilt

RE: Choi’s head looking fake, I think they’ve actually doctored it so that his head has moved down, to fit on the poster. If you look closely he’s the only guy there with no neck.

Paul PP… Probably Schilt, but he lost to Aerts once. He can also lost to LeBanner. He was also KOed by Ignashov. Come on, we need a new GP champion.
