Artur Kyshenko vs. Yasuhiro Kido
This has been a pretty strange MAXI found myself cheering for Kido? What’s that about, I’m a huge Kyshenko fan but where the hell did they find Kido? Props to that kid. I think Kido definitely studied some Kyshenko fights. I gave the first round to Kido. I think he knew what he faced against Artur and went out in the first round and executed. It appeared he knew what was coming and disrupted Kyshenko with somre preemptive offence.
Once again it was a case of the underdog coming out and dictating the pace. He faltered a bit in the second round just enough for Kyshenko to get some of his confidence and range back. I would have liked to have seen him fight back more instead of letting Kyshenko fire off all those shots. In the end I think the 2nd round Kyshenko measured Kido and realized this was all he had.
By the 3rd round Kido had come out an entirely differen’t fighter. He cleary wasn’t the same guy who came out in the first fired up… had he blown his wad? Kyshenko on the other hand was good to go. Anyway, I was impressed with Kido, does anyone know anything about him? Based on his ring entrance and the way he moves he’s definately a Nak Muay. Does anyone know if he trains in Thailand?
Anyway look forward to seeing him more bouts.

Man Kyshenko owned him; loved how he kept doubling up his low kicks.
This was pretty fun bout to watch. The first round I scored evenly. I was actually a little worried for my favorite Artur. ARtur came around and owned the second and third though. The second round was really entertaining with Artur’s flying knees, and Kido’s spinning backfist. It looked like Kido got gassed or just relaxed more than he should have.

both fighters had their moments..
Kyshenko had a lot more moments though:)
And I think Kido wasted a lot of time and energy trying to act though.. Should have just saved his energy to just fight, not a bad performance from him alltogether.
I think all those body shots in the 2nd round drained Kido’s energy…
Also, a lot of respect to Artur, he was looking really tired towards the end but kept on pushing.
I kind of like Artur, but I think he’s going to get decapitated by somebody with good hands. By the middle of the second round his hands were below his chin. That and I think I noticed this in his last fight too: when he finds something that’s working a bit, he tries it too many times… doubling the cut kicks in this case. I don`t think it`ll fly against a top notch fighter; too predictable.
Aargh, Kido! It’s weird, watching a fight and feeling like the main reason someone lost is due to their inactivity. Kido didn’t seem to be as into combos as Kyshenko was.
Also, did you see the expressions on Kido’s face? Does he like getting beat up?
And I give the first round to Kido.

Hmm.. Kido has nice tech but seemed too focused on landing one big shot (the knee maybe…) and spent too much time waiting for it. It’s like he didn’t have the confidence to go toe-to-toe with Artur at all.
Where is Kido from? Has he fought in other K-1 fights? Someone should interview the match maker one day, I’d like to know how they decide who gets to play.
Kido’s leg was smashed by the end of the second round….that’s the reason why he was so inactive. Watch the 3rd round and u’ll see that even Kyshenko realized that Kido left leg was hurt. Big props to both fighters. I was also cheering for Kido. Also is it me or did Kyshenko look twice the size of kido….I wonder if the weight ins are the same day or a day or 2 prior cuz there’s no way those two weighted the same.
I’ve got to say this: Kyshenko hits extremely hard. Punches, Kicks – it’s all thrown with the worst intentions and the scary thing is his cardio can keep up!
True… But I can’t see kyshenko manage to pose a threat to souwer in any way, looks like we’ll be watching yet another souwer vs masato final (sigh)..
Unless Sato can pull of a miracle twice?
I’m gonna be rootin’ for Sato to win this whole thing now.
Me for Kyshenko and Sato.
oh…..if we’re allowed to pick 2 fighters then I’m cheerin for Sato and Masato (the latter really deserves it.) I just wish they didn’t have to fight each other in the next round….damn it! Souwer got really lucky this year (and last year) How does he get stuck wit the easiest fights…lol…I’m startin to think he might be “golden boy #2″ or maybe we could call him “Platinum boy”? Also is it me or has he made it to the final every single year since he’s first started competing in the World Max?? He’s really good though, we have to give it to him.
Why is Souwer really lucky this year?
He fought Stevelmans, who is great fighter and by my opinion he should won or fight went to an extra round.
Souwer fought against Kraus in MAX 2002 or 2003 and got KOed.
Gusnark,
“Why is Souwer really lucky this year?” Your question.
“He fought Stevelmans, who is great fighter and by my opinion he should won or fight went to an extra round.” The answer to your own question.
It wasn’t a KO, it was a referee stoppage. Nevertheless I wasn’t aware of that bout until u told me about it and I went to go look for it. Thanx for the info.
Here’s the link to the fight for everyone interested to see it.

“Why is Souwer really lucky this year?”
Ups, it seems I misunderstood you.
By “easiest fights” I understood as easiest opponents. Sorry, my bad.
Tnx for the link, Souwer has the funniest outfit here! :)
At the end, at least Sato is a nak muay so my money goes with him.
